Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, formerly Sanatan Dharma College, is a Co-educational Constituent College of the University of Delhi. The college was founded on August 3,1959 by the Sanatan Dharma Sabha (Rawalpindi) Delhi. Late Shri Atma Ram Chadha, who was a great philanthropist, a man of great vision and was keenly interested in the propagation of education, took over as Chairman of the College Governing body in the year 1967. Sikkim University, a central university established and fully funded by the Government of India under an Act of Parliament of India came into existence on 2 July 2007. On the same day, Prof. Ashesh Prosad Mitra of National Physical Laboratory of CSIR and Prof. Mahendra P Lama of Jawaharlal Nehru University were appointed as first Chancellor and first and founding Vice Chancellor by the President of India as per the section 46 (a) of the Sikkim University Act, 2006 for a term of five years.......
